Located about 3 kilometres to the west of Petra, Anaxos is a seaside resort with a sandy one kilometre long beach which proves to be a real booster for its local economy..

Very close to Anaxos lies Skoutaros, a traditional village with beautiful houses and a marvelous neoclassical building housing the Primary School. The village hosts a Carpentry School run by the National Welfare Organisation.

To the west of Anaxos lies Tsichrada, an idyllic beach close to a lush field. The whole region swarms with traditional restaurants as well as modern, fully equipped hotels ready to make you feel at home.

 

In summertime loads of cultural events entitled “Anaxiotika” are held in Anaxos.
